Yoshiya Tanaka, MD, PhD is Professor and Chairman of the First Department of Internal Medicine, School of Medicine (2000-present) and Dean of Graduate School of Medical Science, University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan. He reviewed 1,051 publications (impact factor 6,281.5, h-index 115) in English. His scientific focus lies on pathological mechanisms and development of novel treatments in systemic autoimmune diseases. He is the president of JCR (Japan College of Rheumatology), president of JACI (Japan Association of Clinical Immunology), chair of international committee of APLAR and board member of many societies. He is also an associate editor of RMD Open, Rheumatology, Cytokine, AR&T, IJRD and many, an emeritus editor of MRCR, and an editorial board member of ARD, MR, etc. He has received numerous awards from JSBMR, JCR and EULAR, including honorary award from EULAR in 2023.
