Dr. Tomohiro Koga is a Lecturer at the Department of Immunology and Rheumatology, Division of Advanced Preventive Medical Sciences, Nagasaki University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, East Asia. He obtained his MD from Oita University School of Medicine in 2005 and his PhD in Rheumatology from Nagasaki University in 2011. From 2011 to 2014, he was a research fellow in the Division of Rheumatology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on systemic autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases, particularly systemic lupus erythematosus and familial Mediterranean fever. He has received multiple awards, including the APLAR Young Investigator Award and the JCR ICW Excellent Abstract Award. As a board-certified rheumatologist, he integrates clinical practice, research, and education at Nagasaki University Hospital, contributing significantly to the advancement of immunology and rheumatology.
