Prof. Rohini Handa is currently a Senior Consultant Rheumatologist at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. Recognized for his leadership and significant contributions to Rheumatology in India and the broader Asia Pacific, Prof. Handa has held several distinguished appointments: Professor of Medicine at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, Dean of the Indian College of Physicians, President of Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR), Chair of International League of Associations for Rheumatology (ILAR), and President of the Indian Rheumatology Association (IRA). The Indian Rheumatology Association recognized him as a Master in 2022. The Indian College of Physicians bestowed the Master Teacher Award on Prof. Handa in 2022.

Prof. Handa has mentored dozens of students who now occupy chairs of eminence all over the country and abroad. He has delivered more than 520 invited lectures and nearly 20 named lectures, key notes and orations both nationally and internationally. Prof. Handa has authored/co-authored more than 375 papers, book chapters, review articles and abstracts in national and international journals. He has edited 9 books and is the author of the immensely popular book ‘Clinical Rheumatology’ published by Springer.
