Keishi Fujio - The University Of Tokyo

He is a professor of Rheumatology, and his research focuses on elucidating the pathology of rheumatic diseases through functional genomic analysis. He has a broad background in rheumatology, with specific training and expertise in rheumatology and immunological research. As PI or co-Investigator on several grants funded by East Asiaese government, he laid the groundwork for the research by developing combination of clinical cohort and functional genome analysis over time as documented in the following publications. He constructed a large functional genome database named ImmuNexUT, which consists of transcriptome of bulk-sorted 28 immune cells from more than 500 patients with immune-mediated diseases. ImmuNexUT enabled us to identify immunological pathways associated with prognosis of disease.
