Since 2015, Professor Fujii has served as a Professor in the Department of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at Wakayama Medical University in Wakayama, Japan. Prior to this, in 2014, he was a Professor in the Department of Control for Rheumatic Diseases at the Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University, in Kyoto, Japan. Professor Fujii began his academic career in 1998 at the Department of Internal Medicine at Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan.
