Synopsis:

In vivo CAR-T therapy is emerging as a transformative treatment approach for B cell–mediated autoimmune disease, such as systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic scleroderma, and idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, delivering the deep immune reset associated with cell therapy without the complexity and cost of ex vivo manufacturing. As momentum in the field accelerates, CREATE Medicines is bringing together international leaders in cell therapy and rheumatology to explore a thought-provoking question: is in vivo CAR-T the next standard of care?

The symposium will trace CAR-T’s evolution from bespoke cell therapy to reproducible medicine, examine the practical realities of delivering CAR-T at the bedside, present emerging biomarkers to predict cytokine release syndrome (CRS), and explore the mechanism and therapeutic promise of in vivo CAR-T and deep B cell depletion. The program includes a moderated panel discussion from leaders in the field, including Professor George Schett, and a live audience Q&A, examining the current data, remaining challenges towards commercialization, and the path to bringing this next generation therapy to patients across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
