Dr. Yu Kang got her Bachelor and doctor degrees of Medicine in Peking University. She is currently an associate professor of Beijing Institute of Genomics, CAS, in Prof. Jun Yu’s lab after postdoctoral training (2010-2012) there. She focuses on the host-microbe interactions with novel algorithms and technologies in the field of metagenomics and microfluidic devices. Works on the roles of human microbiome in disorders of immune and neural systems have been published in Science Advances, Nucleic Acid Research，Briefings in Bioinformatics，BMC Medicine, Lab on Chip, etc.
