Prof. Hideto Kameda

Hideto Kameda, M.D., Ph.D. is Professor of Division of Rheumatology, Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Toho University, Japan. (2013-present)
He received a PhD from Keio University School of Medicine, Tokyo in 1991. He was a post-doctoral fellow at National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) and National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA from 1997 to 2000.

Prof. Kameda’ research interests focus on the pathogenesis of collagen disease and intractable pathology, optimizing biological therapy and evaluation of arthritis by ultrasound of joints and he has also been engaged in clinical trials and studies of novel agents in inflammatory arthritis.

Prof. Kameda is a member of multiple review boards in the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, an editorial member of 4 academic journals, and a peer reviewer of more than 30 academic papers annually. Prof. Kameda has served as a director of Japan Society for Clinical Immunology and Japan Spondyloarthritis Society.
