Kathryn Connelly

Dr Kathryn Connelly is an early career academic Rheumatologist based at Monash Health and the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. She completed her undergraduate degree in Medicine/Surgery and honours research degree at Monash University in 2012 and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2020. Her PhD and post-doctoral research focuses on outcome measurement in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), with a particular interest in assessing treatment response in SLE clinical trials. She is a member of the APLAR SLE Special Interest Group and her research has been recognised through publications in high-impact Rheumatology journals including The Lancet Rheumatology and Nature Reviews Rheumatology, and in 2023 she received the Victorian Premier’s Award for Clinical Research.
