Dr Chan Kwai Yu Winnie is currently the Chief-of-Service of the Department of Paediatrics, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hong Kong. She graduated from the Medical School, University of Hong Kong and joined the Department of Paediatrics of Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 1990. She obtained her FHKAM and FHKCPaed in 1996 and became a Fellow of The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2018. Dr Chan had her clinical attachment to the Paediatric Rheumatology Department in Chicago’s Ann & Robert H Lurie Children’s Hospital, a center with a leading role in the science of Juvenile Dermatomyositis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. To expand the scope of exposure, she had studied with Ivan Foeldvari, MD, in Germany, focusing on Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis and scleroderma. She is currently the Chairperson of the Hong Kong Society for Paediatric Rheumatology and had lead the group in various projects in Paediatric Rheumatology.
