Dr Wafa Madanat is consultant Rheumatologist,
Attained FRCP, London in 2018
She received PhD in Rheumatology from the Institute of Rheumatology, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences Moscow, Russia in 1993, “Thesis “Behcet’s Disease- Clinical and Immunological Studies”
She is a cofounder of the Jordanian Society for Rheumatology; In 2022 was elected as the President of the Society.
She is a member of the International Society for Behcet’s Disease; and was Convener of study group Education, 2004-2016 and Council member 2000-2006, 2010-2018.
She is a member of editorial board of the Journal of the Royal Medical Services and Scientific Reviewer for local and International Journals.
She was the principal investigator for several International Multicentre Clinical Trials 2010-2011, 2018-2022.
Her main research interest is in Behcet’s disease; she published more than 32 articles in international peer reviewed journals with more than 1600 citations, and presented many abstracts to national and International Conferences.
