Dr Kade Paterson is a NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow and a Dame Kate Campbell Senior Research Fellow with the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine at the University of Melbourne. He is also a Certified Sports Podiatrist with Lakeside Sports Medicine Centre. Kade’s research expertise is in conducting large clinical trials testing non-drug, non-surgical interventions for musculoskeletal conditions, and for osteoarthritis in particular. He has published more than 65 peer-reviewed articles in international journals, is a co-author of a biomechanics textbook and has presented at numerous national and international conferences. Kade’s clinical career has spanned 15 years, where he works widely with professional and recreational athletes and clubs from around Australia, including his current role with Melbourne United in the National Basketball League. He is the President of Sports and Exercise Podiatry Australia, is on the Victorian Council for Sports Medicine Australia, and is a Fellow of the Australian Sports Medicine Federation.
