Dr Changhai Ding is a Professor and Director of Clinical Research Centre, Zhujiang Hospital at Southern Medical University. He is also an Adjunct Professor at University of Tasmanian, and Monash University, Australia, and a Specially-appointed Professor at Sun Yat-Sen University, China.
Dr. Ding is Vice President (President-elect) of International Chinese Osteoarthritis Research Society (ICOARS), a Vice-President of Australia Chinese Association for Biomedical Sciences (ACABS), and a Board Member of Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI). He is an Associate Editor for Reviews on Recent Clinical Trials, and an Editorial Board Member for Osteoarthritis & Cartilage, Arthritis Research & Therapy and other 7 international journals. He is a regular peer reviewer for > 30 international journals including Lancet, JAMA and BMJ. He has received many awards including National Specially-appointed Expert (2017), Australia Research Council Future Fellowship (2012) and NHMRC Early Career Award (2009).
Prof Ding has focused on the epidemiological and clinical studies in osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. He has received grants from competitive sources totally over 7 million Australian dollars, and has published over 300 manuscripts in international peer-reviewed journals including JAMA, JAMA Internal Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, Arthritis & Rheumatology, Blood, Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Osteoarthritis & Cartilage. He has been “highly-cited Chinese Scholar” (Elsevier) since 2019.
