Assistant Professor Yeo Joo Guan (MBBS, MMed, MRCHCh (UK), PhD) is a Clinician Scientist at the Translational Immunology Institute (TII), SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre and the Vice-Chair (Research), SingHealth Duke NUS Paediatrics Academic Clinical Programme.

With a dual background as a scientist and paediatrician, he utilises his knowledge of the disease-associated dysfunction and ontogeny of the immune system to create the reference atlas of the healthy human immunome from cord blood to the elderly with the accompanying machine learning tools for its mining (Extended Poly-dimensional Immunome Characterisation, EPIC).

This EPIC platform enables researchers to understand the healthy immune architecture across the ages and to delineate the underlying immunopathology in diseases. Currently, he holds two active NMRC grants, CSA-INV and CS-IRG, to study the mechanism underpinning the development of autoimmunity and the impact of an auto-reactive milieu on the responses to mRNA vaccines.
